The trail through the forest in Jang-dong, which was opened in June 1995, is a rest venue for families that uses the natural forest with are of 148ha in the general regions of #San-59. It is equipped with more than 20 sports and adventure recreational facilities, and other rest and convenience facilities. The mountain trail that connects the 2.2km of non-paved circulating road and the Gyejok Mt. Fortress is frequently used by the local residents, school, groups and companies of Daejeon for boot camp training and mountain hiking training.

Fortress (cultural heritage), aquatic pool in the forest, library in the forest and sports facilities, thereby drawing large number of family visitors. In particular, Gyejok Mt. Loess Trail that begins from the trail through the forest is a highly renowned and only tourist destination where visitors can experience walking through loess trail on bare foot.

The pool is equipped with shower and washrooms, and numerous wild flowers such as plantain lily and cattail as well as aquatic plants have been planted in the surrounding to provide Ecology Experiences to the children.
