Heaven (blue), earth (green) and man (orange) have been unified to contain the intent to sublimate and advancing the dreams and hopes of the residents of the municipality by realizing pleasant environment and human-centered welfare administration.

Orange symbolizes the rising sun over the Gyejok Mt. and affectionate Daedeok

Green symbolizes green forest and perpetually green Daedeok

Blue symbolizes clean water of Geum River-Daecheong Lake and future filled with hope

Slogan

Happy Municipality of Daedeok, open to its residents!
This slogan contains the vision of and intent for energetic strive for the future by figuratively embodying happy Daedeok-gu that harmonizes with the urban centers and nature. It symbolizes the volition of Daedeok-gu ceaselessly growing and advancing towards the happiness of its residents through the motifs of sky, sun, cloud, nature and city.

Supplementary Symbol

San-Ho-Bit City Daedeok-gu is a supplementary symbol of Daedeok-gu and is used when presenting Daedeok-gu externally. Main features of the city including the City of Environment, Tourism and Culture, City of Industry, and City of Family, Spirit of Classical Scholar and Culture are expressed with shining light shaped motifs to express the happy life in Daedeok, as well as the Daedeok with San (Gyejok Mt.), Ho (Daecheong Lake) and Bit (light of the new city).
