Daecheong Lake Marathon has established itself as the representative event of Daedeok-gu with the history and tradition that encompass beautiful sceneries of the Daecheong Lake. It is a marathon participated by the largest number of athletes along with high level of fervant responses from the participants in the central region of Korea with the optimal conditions for holding of marathon.
The slogan of Daecheong Lake Marathon is 3-fold. The first is the Love for Water (open eyes to the beauty of Daecheong Lake and present the thankfulness of life-giving water), the second is the Love for Health (present vitality and vibrancy by running the best and cleanest marathon course in the country) and the third is the Love for People (present the emotional fulfillment of experiencing and producing love for nature and people).
Daecheong Lake Marathon has the best marathon course of running along the LOHAS Happy Road at the Geum River, which is the dedicated pedestrian deck along the riverside, thereby enjoying the beautiful scenery established along the Geum River while running the course.
We invite not only those who love and enjoy marathon throughout the country but also their families to walk along the Happy Road established around the Marathon Course or walk bare foot along the Gyejok Mt. Loess Trail situated at the back of the Daeheong Lakeside.
