Contents : Daecheong Dam Aquatic Culture Center is a composite cultural venue established by the Korea Water Resources Corporation in order to induce interests and concerns for the water resources and to elevate awareness of aquatic culture.
Samcheong-dong floating wetland
Location : Samjeong-dong, Deadeok-gu, Daejeon City
Contents : The floating wetland in Samjeong-dong established in May 2012 by linking it with the Daecheong Dam, Daecheong Dam Aquatic Culture Center and Daecheong Park, Emergency Spillway Ecology Park has become a renowned tourist destination of Daedeok-gu. Ecological Wetland established here is characterized by diverse range of aquatic plant species that have been planted, and some of the areas are making contribution towards increase in income of residents by using them to farm water parsley.
Contents : Yihyeon-dong Giant Silver Grass Wetland established by planting 9,500 giant siver grass in area of 14,430 ㎡ in the general regions of downstream of Baeogaecheon is visited by many tourists as it is equipped with numerous convenience facilities including aquatic plant learning center and stroll trail. In particular, the giant silver grass can be used as the raw material for production of bio-ethanol, thereby being used in creation of income for the local residents.
