Daecheong Park, which is a Daecheong Dam recreational park for the residents, was established as a natural ecological park by investing total budget of 11.3 Trillion Won on 143,386㎡ of land over the period of 1998~2011 for the purpose of enhancement of healthy leisurely life, public health and rest, and public welfare. It has become a highly reputed tourist destination by many people for the purposes of fostering closer relationship through on-site studies, family picnic and outing by companies and groups.
Daecheong Lake and Geum River are neighboring each other and waterside deck with length of 470m has been constructed to allow visitors to view scene of white heron soaring up in search of food. Moreover, 「Daecheong Cultural Exhibition Hall」, which is the venue for the activities of local artists and holding of various exhibitions, and wide grassed square with are of 40,500㎡ offers wonderful venue for playing and experience learning to children who have difficulties in finding playing grounds due to excessive urbanization.
Majestic forest recreational center with metasequoia that soars high into the sky allows the visitors to stroll through the forest and leisurely rest, and has become the best comfortable, pleasant and environment-friendly recreational venue for the residents through harmony between nature and man with varicolored sceneries and romantic ambience throughout all seasons.
