Daecheong Dam Aquatic Culture Center was newly open following expansion remodeling of the existing Daecheong Dam Aquatic Promotions Center in July 2004. It is a composite cultural venue established by the Korea Water Resources Corporation in order to elevate awareness of the general public on aquatic culture by inducing their interests and concerns on water resources.
The Center is composed of the Exhibition Hall No. 1 that illustrates the role and functions of the Daecheong Dam, and the preciousness of water, the Exhibition Hall No. 2 that introduces the habitat of organisms thriving in the Daecheong Lake and the Geum River, and the Exhibition Hall No. 3 that records and reproduces the lives and cultures of the people of the site of Daecheong Lake who lived there prior to construction of the Daecheong Dam.
In addition, the Center is equipped with audio-visual room, dam data room and information center, observation deck and planned exhibition rooms. Come and visit the Center with your children to acquire wide range of beneficial information on Daecheong Dam and Daecheong Lake.
